Spring Hill Activities Group publicity officer Nicole Day said this would be the second festival and it was brought forward a month this year due to cold weather and fog affecting last year's event.
"It was horrendous for our first one, this year we are looking at 27 degrees and perfect sun," Mrs Day said.
She said the festival would also be combined with the Coffee, Cars, Trucks and Bikes event that's hosted at Spring Hill twice a year.
Between 11am and 2pm there will be live music from Jason and Chloe Roweth then Aussie pub band Bogan's Hero will perform.
"The festival is all about Spring Hill so we have the fire brigade on the gate and there's a gold coin donation and all those donations go to the Rural Fire Service," Mrs Day said.
She said there would also be historical photograph and memorabilia displays celebrating Spring Hill's historical connection to the railway.
"It's where they used to stop for water," Mrs Day said.
She said the area was also used for growing peas and potatoes, which were also loaded onto the trains.
The festival will also touch on Spring Hill's war history and the army engineers depot that was based just outside the village in 1941.
Keeping with the historical theme, The Australian Draught Horse Association will have an active display.
The festival will be held at the Spring Hill Recreation Ground in Whiley Road from 9am to 7pm.
