CSU's Orange campus welcomed 146 students, bringing the total enrolment to 350, with celebrations to last until Friday.
Another 107 online students were also accepted.
External engagement director Julia Andrews said O Week was a milestone for the students and the campus had continued its health sciences focus, with physiotherapy, pharmacy and dentistry again proving popular courses.

"It goes hand in hand with that growing sector," she said.
"We also have a few ag[riculture] students and next year, we will have our first medical students starting, which will bring our cohort up another 30 students."
CSU chief financial officer Paul Dowler said attracting international students to the university remained a challenge, particularly in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, and competition was only increasing between universities.
"Other universities are being more aggressive in recruiting international students and that's what we've got to do to be more competitive, more thoughtful and more differential in what we do," he said.
However, he said the Orange campus' international contingent of 17 students was healthy and steady on previous years.
Sessions and events will be held until Friday, with classes starting on Monday.
On the academic front, students will meet their course directors and other academic staff, as well as receive their course overviews and class checklists.
Support sessions will help students manage finances, boost their study skills and look after their health.
Social events during the week will include a trivia night, barefoot bowls at Orange City Bowling Club and an Amazing Race around the campus and the Orange CBD.
