Orange City takes on Bathurst City, the Redbacks' season is on the line with the chasing the Warriors' day one total of 9.254 in the latest round of the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket.
The hosts resume at 0-25 off seven overs with skipper Joey Coughlan quickly finding his way to 18 runs.
Orange City was in all sorts of strife early in their innings against Redbacks and it took a giant rescue effort from the lower order to help them post a worthy total.
The Warriors were at 4-48 thanks to some terrorising work from Jacob Pepper before Nathan Rosser (60)and Andrew Gordon (50) posted vital half centuries to put the contest back on level ground.
It's basically do-or-die for Redbacks in the penultimate round of the season. They lose and they kiss their top four and finals hopes goodbye or win, beat Kinross next round and have results go their way and then they might have a top four hope.
No doubt Redbacks will be ruing their chances and being frustrated at the weather in the past two rounds, having suffered two consecutive draws against Centrals and St Pat's Old Boys, with rain playing a key part.
Other Bathurst teams resuming action on Saturday including the CYMS-chasing City Colts, who are on 3-96, trailing the visitors by 112 runs at Loco Oval.
St Pat's Old Boys are also chasing an Orange rivals - trailing Centrals by 173 runs - while finals chasing Centennials will have to run down Rugby Union's 223 to win.
