Orange Showgirl Annie Hazelton will travel to Dubbo to compete in the zone finals on Saturday.
Miss Hazelton attended a deportment lesson and will be judged on public speaking as well as knowledge of local and national issues alongside other regional showgirls on Saturday.
"There's 22 girls competing and I'm one of them and three of those girls go on to Sydney, the Royal Easter Show is the big finale," Miss Hazelton said.
"Orange hasn't had a showgirl go through Sydney in 45 years."
Ms Hazelton has moved to Sydney to work on early childcare policy for NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell.
"I definitely miss home quite a lot, I miss Orange and I miss my town of Cudal which is where my family is," she said.
