It starts at 7pm on Tuesday when the council will hold its regular meeting in the assembly hall of Bowen Public School in Park Street.
Orange mayor Reg Kidd said members of the community were welcome.
"The opportunity to take council meetings on the road has come about because the lift in the Civic Centre is out of action for a major re-build," he said.
"It's very important that all council meetings are accessible to any community member, but until the lift is operational again it's going to be difficult for people with mobility issues to get to the top floor.
"We're doing all we can as a council to limit the impact of this temporary lack of access," he said.
Staff are holding committee meetings in downstairs meeting rooms and they will come to accessible locations to meet with community members.
Locations for other council meetings are being arranged.
