According to police, Jay Peter Hanrahan, 21, of Maxime Place, formerly of Molong, entered the house on August 26, 2018, with a youth and an unknown man.
Although Hanrahan was not accused of being the person who injured the victim, he was charged with entering the home with the intent to commit assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
According to police, the victim had gone to a house in Molong where it was alleged some of the assailants lived, to retrieve property belonging to him about 7.30pm on August 26, 2018.
After finding his missing property he lost his temper and smashed two windows, resulting in him being charged with trespassing and damaging property. He was convicted and given a 15-month conditional release order in January last year.
The victim returned home and was watching TV when he heard movement in the front hall and found three people in his house who tackled him.
He was punched in the chest and face while on the ground and the unknown male picked up a rock, that had been used as a door stop, held it over the victim's head then smashed it onto the victim's right foot.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his foot, had a fractured cuneiform bone, and required medical treatment until December 7, 2018.
The attack was reported on September 13, 2018, and Hanrahan was arrested for his involvement on September 27, 2018.
Hanrahan was given two nine-month Intensive Correction Orders and 50 hours of community service for both offences.
He was also convicted, fined $330 and was given a three-month driving disqualification for driving with methamphetamine and cannabis in his system on Bathurst Road on June 20, 2019.
Solicitor Gerry Stapleton said Hanrahan hadn't reentered Molong since the 2018 offence and the drug driving was his only subsequent offence.
