Badlands Brewery owner Jon Shiner said the beer, which was made from donated ingredients, is being donated to businesses and groups that were organising their own events for federal government approved bushfire charities.

"We've got a few kegs left, we had 18 kegs," Mr Shiner said.

The Agrestic Grocer, the Greenhouse of Orange and the Parkview Hotel were among the recipients in Orange.

However, other recipients included the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Sydney, which hosted a bushfire charity event on Friday night.

"Venues get the beer for nothing and they give 100 per cent of the proceeds to charity, they are not going to give the money to me," Mr Shiner said.

"If I can get rid of the other three, I think we might definitely raise about $10,000."

He said the recipients let him know when the kegs were empty, how much was raised and where the money would be going.

Mr Shiner said the ingredients for the Recovery Beer were donated so the beer has to be used for charity purposes.

"It's cost quite a lot of money to do it," he said.

"This is our contribution, we need somebody else to come to the party."

Mr Shiner said each keg would normally cost about $300 but the sales at venues would range between $800 and $900 per keg.

He said the Recovery Beer was a one-off batch that was made in a tropical ale style with a 4.5 per cent alcohol content.

Voyager Malt and Hop Products Australia donated the ingredients, Motus Transport for delivering the beer for free and KegStar donated the rental of the kegs.

Orange-based designer Lucas Martin also donated his time and work on the poster that was going to each venues, the poster was inspired by old-time beer labels and featured the native Banksia, one of the first plants to burst back into life after a fire.
