Brett Matthews of Twisted Gum Plants has decided to move on at the end of the month.

Mr Matthews said he would continue to grow bonsais and succulents from his Spring Hill home and sell them at markets and exhibitions, but needed to clear stock from his current premises.

He said the drought and the cost of water influenced his decision.

"It's just hard to keep plants alive and I lost a lot of stuff due to the drought," he said.

"But I've still got some interesting stuff here and it's of value to somebody."

He said while dry conditions persisted, he would concentrate on succulents.

WEST Orange Motors has again proved its mettle when it comes to Hino trucks and buses, winning two awards at the Hino Australia Dealer of the Year Awards in Sydney on February 8.

In front of 300 guests, the dealership was crowned Regional Dealer of the Year for the second time in three years.

Dealer principal Aaron Daniel said he was "overwhelmed with gratitude".

"We are so happy to win this award at a time when regional areas are facing a crippling drought and tough economic conditions," he said.

"We would like to recognise our dedicated, hard-working staff and our customers for their continued loyalty."

West Orange Motors was also recognised in the Parts Excellence category, taking out the regional award.

TARA Greggs has always enjoyed being around makeup.

After helping her mother at her salon in Sydney before moving to Orange three years ago, Miss Greggs decided to start her own business.

Hiring space inside Rhonda's Hairstyling Salon in Orange Arcade for her venture, Tara Bell's Beauty Services, she will offering waxing, tanning and lash and brow tinting services.

She said manicures, pedicures and make-up would follow later in the year when school graduations approached.

Miss Greggs said she liked the customer interaction.

"I like how it's so hands-on and it keeps you busy, there's always something to do," she said.
