Oliver John Jansen is now a social and adorable eight-month-old baby, who his father described as happy and easy to care for.
"He has his own jokes - he pulls on your leg because he thinks it's funny," he said.
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages recently revealed the most popular names in Orange and last year, the most favoured names were Oliver for a boy and Olivia for a girl.
"We didn't know it was popular at all," Mr Jansen said.
"We didn't name him straight away but it just seemed to suit him - we took the time to look at him before we named him."
Mr Jansen expected his son, who is a younger brother to Isaac and Aria, would not be the only Oliver in his cohort when he began school but he had a nickname ready to go.
"We've already named him OJ at home because his last name is Jansen," he said.
We didn't name him straight away but it just seemed to suit him - we took the time to look at him before we named him.
- Kurt Jansen
