Trevor Anthony Jones, 43, of Bletchington Street, was stopped while driving at 10.10pm on May 25, 2019.
Police were stopped at the intersection of The Snowy Way and Winter Street when they saw a Holden Commodore travel in front of them on Winter Street at speed.
Police stopped him for a random breath test and decided to give him a drug test because they thought he may have been affected by an illicit substance.
He tested positive to cannabis, with the methamphetamine found on further analysis, and half a Seroquel tablet, which was not prescribed to him, was found his wallet.
Jones was convicted for each matter and was given a six-month driving disqualification for driving with the drugs in his system.
Solicitor Mason Manwaring said Jones completed the Magistrate Early Referral into Treatment Program and was referred to relevant drug and alcohol programs for further treatment.
