Orange is a chance of receiving as much as 60 millimetres of rain in the next seven days, as much of the state continues to cop a battering from the elements.
Following on from a January where Orange recorded 132mm - well above the average of 62.2 for the first month of the year - the region will enjoy a chance of rain every day next week, with a 70 per cent chance of rain on Sunday likely to bring about some much needed follow-up falls for the city's catchments.
There's as much as 20mm expected to fall across Orange on Sunday, with the Central West on the edge of a an East Coast Low (ECL) system battering the coast.
Byron Bay netted an incredible 283mm in 24 hours on Friday, and the system is expected to intensify rapidly over 12-24 hours making them one of the more dangerous weather systems to affect the eastern coast.
The cool conditions are predicted to continue as well, with Saturday's top of 19 degrees to be followed by maximum forecasts of 21 and 23 degrees on Sunday and Monday respectively.
