The 17-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance at around 8pm, following an alleged assault at Heifer Station Wines.
The young man was treated for injuries to his face and has since been released from hospital.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said despite the tough conditions, which included temperatures close to 40 degrees and poor air quality, it was the only incident of significance at the event.
Central West Police District had a high-visibility at the event, ejecting two people from the public bar area for 'bad behaviour'.
Inspector David Harvey said the two women involved had been issued with infringement notices and escorted out by police.
Around 15 uniformed police officers were on duty throughout the evening, providing assistance with crowd and traffic control.
Inspector Harvey said the 10,000 strong crowd had not caused too many problems.
"We were fairly happy with the behaviour of the public and the way the event took place," Inspector Harvey said.
Many of the festival goers were bussed into town following Cold Chisel's final song, with the Parkview Hotel filling up before it closed at midnight, the Lord Anson Hotel, the Royal Hotel and the Hotel Orange stayed open late to accommodate the influx of visitors.
Hotel Orange owner Vijay Bohra said it had been a busy night which had been drama free.
"We didn't have any issues from the a Day on the Green crowd," he said.
