Lennon: Through a Glass Onion will pair Waters with pianist Stewart D'Arrietta for a set of songs reflecting Lennon's time in The Beatles and as a solo artist.
Waters said the performance will serve as part concert, part biography of Lennon's storied contribution to music.
"The show features Lennon's most autobiographical songs and how key moments in his life influenced the likes of 'The Ballad of John and Yoko,' 'Sexy Sadie' and 'All You Need Is Love,'" Waters said.
"'Glass Onion' is a song Lennon wrote to reflect on his life in The Beatles and as this performance is a reflection on Lennon's music and thoughts, the song served as appropriate inspiration for the show's title."
Waters and D'Arrietta first performed Lennon: Through a Glass Onion live in 1992, and have since brought the show to receptive audiences in the United Kingdom and the United States.
He said his musical partnership with D'Arrietta has reached the point where they can work off each other instinctively.
"Between Stewart's piano and my guitar, we present a tightly scripted show full of music, interludes and stories," Waters said.
Waters said the universal pull of Lennon's music has translated to a diverse array of audiences over the years.
"The shows initially attracted a predominant 'baby boomer' crowd but in recent years, the audience has expanded to younger demographics," he said.
"Lennon perfectly expressed the views of his generation [post-World War 2 British youth] and to me, his voice was like that of an encouraging older brother advocating for peace."
The performance follows Waters' successful Dylan Revisited show at Panthers Bathurst in November last year.
