Following Friday's collision between a silver Ford sedan and a black SUV, Cr Whitton said he would ask Orange City Council technical services director Ian Greenham to review the intersection.
While the cause of the collision remains unconfirmed, Cr Whitton said he had heard several concerns from drivers and had almost been in a collision himself previously.
"I was coming up March Street from Peisley Street and I don't know why, but the person at the give way sign [in Lords Place] didn't stop," he said.
Roundabouts are known for improving flow and safety.

"I still look to my right at intersections and they pulled straight out in front of me."
Cr Whitton said a roundabout was originally planned for the intersection and it would lower the chances of drivers on Lords Place failing to stop.
"The reason they earmarked it for a roundabout was because it made the council's black spot list, but they ended up putting in blisters," he said.
"Roundabouts are known for improving flow and safety, whereas if someone stops at a give way sign and the other person believes they are safe, it takes away that element of alertness.

"It doesn't have to be a full-blown masterpiece."
The raised pedestrian platforms and refuge islands, more commonly referred to as blisters, were installed in 2017 after the council received $2 million in black spot funding.
The money was meant to improve four intersections, but tenders did not meet the budget and the work was scaled back.
At the time, then-technical services director Chris Devitt said while they would not improve the intersection to the same standard as a roundabout, they would improve safety.
The blisters were intended to narrow the road and slow traffic down, but attracted criticism from several councillors for causing confusion among drivers.
