Another monumental milestone in the meteoric rise of the Orange District Cricket Association graduate, Litchfield has been named in the squad Shane Warne, and other Test greats like Ricky Ponting, to take part in the Bushfire Cricket Bash on February 8.

Litchfield was named on Sunday as one of a host of big names who'll line up, as well as Elyse Villani, Michael Hussey, Brad Haddin and Matthew Hayden, to play alongside Warne, Ponting, Michael Clarke, and Sydney Thunder teammate Alex Blackwell.

NSW State of Origin coach Brad Fittler, AFL star Luke Hodge, and Indian blaster Yuvraj Singh will also play in the charity match, which was a line-up Litchfield said she couldn't comprehend.

"When Alex called me and asked me if I wanted to play I asked her if she had the wrong number," the Kinross sensation said.

"There are 200 girls she could have been calling but she told me to think about it.

"I didn't have to think long."

Litchfield shot Blackwell a confirmation text back that afternoon, and said she's been buzzing ever since thinking about the prospect of playing alongside some of Australia's greatest ever cricketers - something which had never crossed her mind.

"There are so many stars who'll be there, I'll be amazed to be in the same room as some of them," she said.

"Just to see Shane Warne bowl is incredible, let alone potentially face him."

The prospect of facing Shane Warne's bowling is daunting enough, but Litchfield laughed at the idea of ramping him first ball, adding she'd not be likely to sleep the night before.

Litchfield also had cousins on the South Coast during the bushfires so she said it was meaningful to be involved with the fundraiser.

"Obviously there are plenty of things we could be doing ... but putting on some entertainment and getting people to donate is a way to help," she said.

Litchfield will be playing in a practice match against the Australian squad on Monday and then in the Governor General's XI against India on Tuesday before going to school on Wednesday for her first day of year 11.

Litchfield made a game-saving knock last week for the NSW Breakers, hitting 82 not out to chase down the ACT Meteors in the Women's National Cricket League, and also exploded onto the scene in the Women's Big Bash over summer.

The bash is one of the three matches to be played on the day, following the Women's Twenty20 clash with Australia and India and a curtain raiser to the men's Big Bash final.
