1. Mr Edward
- TRAINER: Raymond Smith (Forbes)
- BREEDING: Barcia Bale x Solar Park
- CAREER RECORD: 11; 3-4-2
"He's a very promising up and coming dog. It's very well boxed, but he takes a few strives to get going. I can't see him being in the lead but he does rail very well, so if there's any trouble, he'll be ready to bounce down the back."
2. Solar Sky
- TRAINER: Raymond Smith (Forbes)
- BREEDING: Collision x Solar Park
- CAREER RECORD: 46; 13-6-7
"Raymond Smith has qualified two dogs - Mr Edward and Solar Sky - and Solar Sky ran a very quick first section last week, she's got early pace and she loves racing at Bathurst."
3. Bit Flash
- TRAINER: Michael Clayton (Sutton Forest)
- BREEDING: Barcia Bale x Ash Flash
- CAREER RECORD: 27; 14-5-1
"Michael Clayton's dog [Bit Flash] is the likely leader, as well as Solar Sky. I think who ever can lead in the first quarter will go on and win it."
4. Zipping Byron
- TRAINER: Jason Magri (Kemps Creek)
- BREEDING: Kayda Shae x Tricky Gypsy
- CAREER RECORD: 17; 6-4-3
"Zipping Byron had her first run at the Bathurst track last week. He sort of blew the start and he has run some quick times at Bulli and won at Wentworth Park. He's probably the knockout dog. The two and three are going to go quickly very early. He can follow them across, he could take a lot of improvement out of last week."
5. Black Rampage
- TRAINER: Jason Magri (Kemps Creek)
- BREEDING: Collision x Classy Sahara
- CAREER RECORD: 10; 4-1-0
"Probably not as the same class as the inside three - the two, three and four. But he's a dog who had the eight box last week and qualified. If he can find the fence a bit early, he'll also find a lot of benefit from last weeks run."
6. Little Big Shot
- TRAINER: Jacqueline Davis (Riverstone)
- BREEDING: Kiowa Mon Manny x Cawbourne Looney
- CAREER RECORD: 79; 13-10-8
"Little Big Shot ran the race of life last week, the first time over the 520 metres distance at Bathurst. He's going to be in the race but I can't see him winning the main prizemoney."
7. Awesome Fusion
- TRAINER: Wesley McDonald (Springside)
- BREEDING: Brad Hill Billy x Gold Fusion
- CAREER RECORD: 13; 5-2-3
"It's probably the best of our local hopes [trained by Wes McDonald of Springside near Orange]. He's got a blistering 29.59 here at Bathurst, where he does his best racing. Would've preferred him drawn at one, two or three because he's a desperate railer. If he does come and misses trouble in the first quarter, he's going to be there in the finish."
9. Still Blue
- TRAINER: Paul Roach (Lidsdale)
- BREEDING: Unlawful Entry x Jordanic
- CAREER RECORD: 21; 5-5-0
"She's broken 30 seconds here at Bathurst over 520 metres. She's an honest little dog and raced second at Richmond on Saturday night, with trainer Paul Roach putting her in, not expecting a start. She hold a straight line to the corner, so she won't cause any trouble early. She's probably the best of the roughies."
Number eight Spring Bella was scratched prior to the final. Number 10 Fernando Porche is the emergency. The Orange Cup final will get underway at 5.28pm at Kennerson Park.
