Parts of Orange were lashed with the most significant rainfall the city has seen in seven years on Saturday, while others missed out entirely as a volatile storm cell moved across the Central West.

More storms are anticipated to form on Sunday afternoon, and those that missed out on the monumental 58.2 millimetre-deluge at the Orange airport to start the weekend will be hoping for their share to cap what has been a welcome month of rainfall in January.
Most of Orange received between 4mm and 10mm from Saturday's storm, but areas in north Orange missed out completely while the south of the city was drenched.
The airport, the location for the main weather station in Orange, began recording rainfall from 3pm and by 6.30pm had a touch over 21mm in the gauge.
That mark doubled over the course of the next hour though, with 37mm falling in quick time to give the area the single largest day of rain since March 3, 2012 when 70mm was recorded at the airport.
Last year's biggest days of rain included 39mm on May 4 and 39.6mm on February 8.
A total of 111.2mm has been recorded at the Orange airport so far this month, well above the long-term average of 62.2 for January.
There's a chance of more thunderstorms on Monday, too, while the mercury will hit 30 degrees to start the working week before building, with Friday and Saturday both expected to peak at 35 degrees.
