Litchfield has been named in a 12-strong squad to take on India in Sydney on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old has been picked in the Governor General's XI squad for the match, which will serve as India's official hit-out ahead of the upcoming Commbank T20 Tri-Series between Australia, England and India.
The Governor General's XI will also take on the Australian Twenty20 squad on Monday in a practice match.
Litchfield's selection comes after a breakout summer where she put plenty of runs on the board, both for Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash and for NSW Breakers - notably with a player of the match and game-winning 82 not out two weeks ago.
She's the youngest player in the youth-focused squad, alongside 17-year-old pace bowlers Stella Campbell, Charli Knott and Hannah Darlington.
The Governor General's XI will be led by Victorian and Melbourne Renegades off-spinner Molly Strano, with fellow Australian-capped players Heather Graham, Tahlia McGrath and Belinda Vakarewa also selected after missing selection in the T20 World Cup squad.
National selector Shawn Flegler said Litchfield was one of the in-form batters selected for the side
"(They) are players of the future and opportunities like this are crucial in their development," Flegler told cricket.com.au.
"They allow the players to test themselves against world-class opposition and give them a gauge on what it takes to make it to the next level which is invaluable so early in their careers."
The warm-up match with India will be broadcast on Fox Cricket, Kayo and ABC Radio, beginning at 6.40pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Litchfield wasn't required with the bat in the Breakers' chase of the ACT Meteors in the Women's National Cricket League on Thursday.
Rene Farrell took three wickets and Campbell, Lisa Griffith and Ashleigh Gardner two to roll the Meteors for 187.
An unbeaten 64 to Tahlia Wilson and 43 to Naomi Stalenberg meant the Breakers chased down the total with seven wickets in hand, with Litchfield not required at number six.
