The tour, which serves as the Australian and New Zealand leg of Elton's final world trek, has already seen immense success, with sold-out shows in Perth, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and the Hunter Valley.
Chugg Entertainment head of marketing and communications Nicole Stringer said Elton's performances have received praise all across the country.
"Press and the public alike have raved about the shows, and reviews have been four to five stars across the board," Ms Stringer said.
"With such incredible sound and production, it's no surprise - not to mention Elton's fantastic band and the man himself."
Matthew Lazarus-Hall, the tour producer on behalf of Chugg Entertainment, said the organisation has taken a number of key points into account throughout the pre-planning process.
"Venue and space capability is the first thing we've had to accommodate for, and it's a great result that we will have nearly 20,000 people in Bathurst on Wednesday night," Mr Lazarus-Hall said.
"We also considered local authorities who want to help support and work with us as promoters, the economic viability in being able to sell the tickets and whether there's enough accommodation for visitors as well as the tour's accommodation requirements."
Mr Lazarus-Hall said the event's success will be measured on a variety of factors.
"The success of the event for Chugg will not only be determined by ticket sales [which are very solid] but also the lift that it will create for the city as a whole," he said.
"We will work closely with Bathurst Regional Council to determine the overall impact of the event on the economy."
Bathurst mayor Bobby Bourke said it's important for concert-goers to plan ahead for next Wednesday.
"To ensure the best experience, know how you're getting to and from the venue and make sure you know what you can and can't bring to avoid disappointment," Cr Bourke said.
