Mr Moseley will offer insight into his exhibition A Lake, a Forest and the Dark Voice of the Sea, an exhibition on at the gallery until February 8.
Attendees will have the chance to hear about the artist's 10 day journey aboard the historic brigantine 'Soren Larsen' travelling from Hobart to Sydney.
During the voyage, Mr Moseley captured footage of the shores of Tasmania and Bass Strait, producing a series of ambrotypes and digital video work.
The floor to ceiling video projection, accompanied by audio of crashing waves and howling sea winds, offers the viewer an immersive experience of the power of the sea.
Attendees will be offered the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of his ideas and photographic processes in this free one hour talk.
The event will run from 5.30-7.30pm. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
