Kristy-Lee Morgan, 34 of Keithian Place, received a nine-month community corrections order for verbally abusing police and refusing to leave when they arrived at an Edward Street house to arrest another woman on November 15.
Police repeatedly warned her she would be arrested if she did not leave and when she was arrested, she attempted to pull away from police.
Solicitor Andrew Rolfe told the court Morgan had been "obnoxious".
"She was mortified by what she saw," he said.
Magistrate David Day said the incident was not so serious to merit a fine, but Morgan had "made a real pest of herself".
"Police turn up not knowing what to expect - whether it's tea and biscuits or whether they'll be set upon by cudgels and knives, and they're set upon by Ms Morgan," he said.
