Western Red chased down Penrith's 151 with plenty of time to spare after overcoming a late hiccup.
Gabby Kelly had two wickets in two balls as she nabbed 3-18 while Tiarna Pavey (2-11 from four) and Callee Black (2-6 from 5.3) also did damage with the ball for Red as Annabel Batty held the Penrith innings together with 40 at the top of the order, but the side finished with 151 - a whopping 58 of which were extras.
A mini-collapse at the final hurdle sent ripples through the Western Red camp as the side lost 4-9, but eventually the Reds managed to grab a two wicket win with more than half their overs to spare.
The Western Blue side had less luck against Parramatta, collapsing to 8-25 in pursuit of 150.
None of the first six batters made more than 1 as only a rearguard effort from Belinda Kidd (47 not out) and Caroline Wallace (18) allowed the hosts to pass 100, being dismissed for 102 in the 34th over.
Manly-Warringah's 9-174 off the back of Laura Judson's 47 was more than enough as they dismissed Gordon for 109 in 38 overs.
