Although Weller's last two returns of 2 and 28 have been modest at best he was in scintillating form prior to that, scoring back-to-back tons against CYMS Kellys and then Cavaliers, the second of which was a monstrous, unbeaten 157.
His side have been solid in working their way to fourth in the opening half of the longer-form, one-day season but the likes of Weller, Ben McAlpine, Luke Wilson and Gav Smith, their threat in the shortest format of the game is obvious and undeniable.
Weller and his side open the Third Grade Twenty20 pool stage against Orange City at 12.30pm on Saturday, while Spring Hill play Centrals White, CYMS Kellys play Cavaliers and Centrals Wanderers play CYMS Bourkes.
The pool stage continues the following week before the semi-finals and decider on January 25.
