The Meteors were left stranded in Canberra as smoke haze caused travel delays but they're expected to be able to make it to Hurstville Oval for the rescheduled game on Monday, January 14, with the Breakers to face Queensland at the same ground on Thursday.
Litchfield has been named in NSW's 14-strong squad for Thursday's round three clash which could catapult the Breakers within touching distance of the competition's top two, should they get the result of course.
International players were unavailable for the opening two rounds of the competition but most will return as the competition also resumes again, and superstar all-rounder Ellyse Perry actually made her much-anticipated debut for Victoria on Tuesday.
After taking some well-deserved down time after the Rebel Women's Big Bash League the likes of Alyssa Healy, Rachael Haynes and off-spinning all-rounders Ash Gardner and Erin Burns come into the squad, with attention likely to turn to next month's Twenty20 World Cup soon.
Healy will skipper the Breakers on Thursday and Monday with Haynes to act as her deputy, and while the side has named an extended squad Litchfield is expected to be named in the final XI prior to Thursday morning's toss.
Sarah Aley has been included in the group but her availability is subject to fitness, she's expected to be given until the 11th hour.
Litchfield enjoyed a record-breaking WBBL campaign for the Sydney Thunder and has been solid in her debut WNCL season too, making 17 in the Breakers' loss to Victoria and 18 in their victory over South Australia.
Both Thursday's game and Monday's rescheduled encounter begin at 10am at Hurstville Oval.
