After a very dry December and start of 2020, the bureau of meteorology has recorded 6.8mm for Orange, with a number of other Central West locations also receiving good overnight rainfall.
Parkes received the most rainfall with 24.6 millimetres recorded by 7.30am on Tuesday, this was followed by Dubbo at 15.6mm.
Mudgee (4.8mm), Bathurst (2.6mm), Young (0.8mm) and Lithgow (0.4mm) also enjoyed some rain.
Afternoon or evening thunderstorms are possible for much for the region on Tuesday with a little more rain possible.
Up to 10mm is expected in Lithgow and Mudgee, while around 5mm could fall in Bathurst, Cowra, Dubbo, Forbes, Orange and Parkes.
