At around lunchtime on Tuesday, Fires Near Me indicated there was two blazes out of control near The Rocks, between Vittoria and Bathurst, on either side of the highway.
That status has now been down graded to under control.
There has been no impact to traffic in either direction along the highway.
Meanwhile, Fire and Rescue NSW Orange firefighters responded to a grass fire on Moad Street at around 3pm.
There's currently a total fire ban in place for Orange and the Central Rangers.
The Gospers Mountain and Grose Valley bush fires continue to burn out of control east of Orange, and are responsible for the smoke still covering the region on Tuesday.
