Is 10 minutes more precious than someone's much-loved house and garden?
Resuming the homes of the many elderly in the affected area of Blackheath, tossing us out of our beds, will cause a spike in aged-care facilities that offer no real comfort.

I'm hoping for tunnels that will provide some real long-term employment for engineers and road (and rail?) builders, maintenance crews and the like.
The 21st century rolls electric vehicles through tunnels.
