The annual Orange toy run often includes a range of individuals, motorbike and car clubs but this year the motorcyclists led the charge to help The Salvation Army make Christmas an enjoyable time for families in need across the region.

At least 28 motorbikes, some carrying a passenger, rode up Summer Street to the Robin Hood Hotel for the gift handover followed by a social barbecue lunch with family and friends.

The Salvation Army Orange branch Captain David Grounds welcomed the gifts, which will be distributed to children across the region.

Captain Grounds also welcomed the donation of money and gift vouchers, which he said were good for teenagers and meant The Salvation Army could purchase age appropriate gifts.
