Orange City Council is in the final stages of work on the Northern Distributor Road-Leeds Parade roundabout, with a new hot-mix asphalt surface being added to the busy five-ways intersection to the north of the city.
Delays have been minimised with the bulk of the work being in the late afternoon or at night.
There's been some interruption to traffic, however, while one lane of the roundabout has been closed.
A council spokesperson said Thursday was expected to see the work completed.
Meanwhile, work is in its final stages on the new roundabout at the corner of Hill Street and Matthews Avenue.
The intersection is expected to be open to traffic before Christmas.
