Kinross are fast-announcing themselves as genuine Orange District Cricket Association Second Grade contenders, first with a big outright win over Centrals and then another strong performance with the bat on Saturday afternoon.

The students hammered Centrals by an innings and 86 runs in the first two-dayer of the 2019-20 summer, skittling them for just 50 after enforcing the follow-on, and went big again against CYMS in the opening day of the second last weekend.
Kinross piled on 278 against the green and golds at Country Club Oval which, while being reasonably formidable, actually could have been much larger had any bats gone on with a number of encouraging starts.
On the flip side the dig was a strong team effort, with Tom Madigan (57) and Nelson Shepherd (54) both making half-tons, while Ollie Hoskin (23), Stu Crisp (34), Matt Mieklejohn (27) and Jono Rasmussen (22) all chipped in as well.
In Saturday's other Second Grade game defending premiers Orange City, sensationally coming last through five rounds, are in strife against Centrals.
Troy O'Keeffe (32) and Adam Cowden (29) made starts for the Warriors but couldn't go on, nor did they get much support as their side rolled over for 148 at Jack Brabham 2. Nic Freedman did the damage for Centrals, picking up a superb 5-29.
With George Olsen (43 not out) leading the charge, Centrals will resume in the box seat at 3-92 on day two, Cam Rasmussen (5 not out) is the other unbeaten bat.
Spring Hill's dominance continued in Third Grade, their eighth consecutive win keeps the Wood Ducks undefeated and 12 points clear on top, they beat Orange City by four wickets.
Thanks a game-saving and winning 64 from Adam Bennett, Centrals Wanderers (8-228) edged past Cavaliers (7-227) on Saturday as well, while the Gladstone (323) routed CYMS Kellys (67).
Graham Judge posted a quick-fire 125 for Centrals White, from just 108 balls, and led his side to a huge tally of 9-264, putting the red and blacks in an excellent position to claim their first win of the summer.
Sadly for them Harpreet Singh (105) fired back with a ton of his own before Chiscag Desai (40 not out) and Tom Wright (23 not out) guided CYMS Bourkes home with an unbeaten, 54-run, seventh-wicket stand. They won with two overs to spare.
While the scorecard and result of Kinross Blue's Centenary Cup derby against Kinross White was unavailable at time of publication, CYMS (6-91) did knock off Orange City (90) in a low-scoring affair at Max Stewart Park.
