Stalls co-ordinator Ellie McNamara said about 10,000 people attended in the first few hours.
"It's pretty epic. The weather is just so beautiful" she said.

Additions this year included mini-trains and a gelato van which had proved popular.
"Why change a winning formula?" she said.
"We evolve a little bit each year.
"We have more shade and seating and places to chill out, it is a busy market."
She said about 500 volunteers manned the markets.
They are mainly teachers, parents and children from Millthorpe Public School which gains money raised on the day to provide extra equipment and facilities for the school.
The school is attended by just under 300 students.
