The Spring Comp on Wednesday is continuing to attract a decent amount of players, with the earlier starting and finishing time of 6.30-9.30pm, proving popular.
Winners this week were Chrissie Kjoller with three sets/21 games, Chris Dyet on two/18, Heather Grant on two/12 and Rod Buesnel with one/17.
It wasn't a very nice day, weather wise on Tuesday afternoon for the junior comp but the kids were keen to get out on the courts and battled through the wind and the dust. There was a three-way tie for first place, between Max Reidy, Jack Gersbach and Tom Vickery, all landing on 18 games apiece.
This comp will wind up for the year on the last week of term but there will be plenty of tennis for the kids, with the Holiday Coaching Clinics.
The first will be for the Kinross Wolaroi students only, on Thursday and Friday, December 5 and 6. The second is on Friday to Sunday, December 20-22.
To register, please phone Clubhouse on 63628020 or Alison on 0414 428 875.
This coming Sunday, it is the tennis clubs turn to sell tickets at the Orange Ex-Services Club, for their weekly Spinna Winna raffles. Alan Hubbard and Helen Chapman have volunteered to assist during the morning.
Straight afterwards, President Alan will be on duty at the tennis club, to run the Mixed Social afternoon from 1.30pm. Congrats to last week's winner of the free hit voucher, Rod Buesnel.
The Ladies Social group, who play every Thursday morning, have moved their starting time from 9am to 8.30 am, to beat the heat. All players are more than welcome to attend this very friendly morning.
