The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for Orange and other parts of the Central West with severe storms predicted to lash the region on Monday afternoon.

Following Sunday night's light show where a storm band brought with it spectacular lightning, Monday's storms are expected to be a more volatile.
The BoM's severe thunderstorm warning says heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding and damaging winds in the warning area.
The warning area includes Orange as well as Mudgee, Bathurst and Katoomba.
The State Emergency Service advises people to move their cars under cover or away from trees and secure or put away loose items around the house and yard.
The SES says it's important to report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093).
