Underworld: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties exhibition curator Nerida Campbell will give a public lecture on Fearless Flappers - Feminists of the Roaring Twenties.
It focuses on the criminal and convention-breaking experiences of women in the 1920s.
Ms Campbell said the flappers of the era were intriguing.
"They were defiant, rejecting pre-war norms of 'ladylike' behaviour, and were determined to enjoy life on their own terms which often involved a lot of dancing, drinking, travel and fun," she said.
The ORM Talks: Fearless Flappers event will be held in the West Room, adjacent to the gallery. Entry is $10, which includes light refreshments.
Another event at 10am on Saturday is a free floor talk which will take place inside the Underworld exhibition covering a "golden era for criminals."
Bookings for both events are compulsory. Book online at https://orangemuseum.eventbrite.com.au
