Some incredible late hitting from Tom Cooper helped the Redbacks pile on the runs to reach 4-322 off their 50 overs.
Ferguson set up the innings with a classy 122 off 128 balls at the top of the order, becoming South Australia's highest scoring one-day player of all time in the process.
It was a second century in three days for the 34-year-old, who also scored 91 two matches ago.
Cooper helped the Redbacks score 90 runs off the final four overs, including five sixes off the final eight balls he faced.
He ended on 81 not out off just 46 balls, including seven sixes.
Test paceman Peter Siddle bore the brunt of the big-hitting going for 75 off ten wicketless overs.
Youngster Xavier Crone also saw his figures suffer returning 2-76 off his allotted overs.
Wicketkeeper Alex Carey posted an impressive 50 putting on 104 with Ferguson, while Alex Ross punched out a quickfire unbeaten 20 at the death.
The winner will end the season in third after Queensland set-up a clash against Western Australia in next Tuesday's final.
