Road work linked to Orange's new private hospital, which will connect the sewer for the medical centre to the council sewer mains, will begin on Tuesday, November 26.
A Murray & Sons and Zauner Construction complete the work, which will be focused on a site just north of the traffic lights of the hospital entrance on Forest Road.
The work will involve excavating a trench across Forest Road in order to lay underground pipes to connect with the sewer mains.
The work will occur between the hours of 7am and 7pm, starting next Tuesday. Traffic will not be affected outside of work hours and on weekends.
Orange City Council says the roadwork is expected to be completed, weather permitting, by Thursday, December 12.
Council says commuters around the area should plan ahead to avoid delays during that time.
The main alternate routes are via Huntley Road or Bloomfield Roads.
One lane of traffic will be open in either direction through the project and traffic control staff are scheduled to be on site.
