Colleen Southwell will open Into The Wilder on Thursday from 6pm, with all but one work sold ahead of the show.
Taking inspiration from the plants growing in her garden and paddock at Belgravia, Into The Wilder is a series of intricately assembled paper and wire art works.
The Orange artist draws textured and feathered plants from her yard, then uses embroidery scissors to disassemble the drawings. They are recreated into 3D designs with the inclusion of fine jewellery wire.
Mrs Southwell's collection is comprised of 18 pieces ranging from 23 centimetres by 23 cms, and 50 cms by 80 cms. They are priced from between $450 and $1950.
After a sold-out debut show at the gallery 18-months ago, Mrs Southwell began working on the recently mastered art form full time from her garden studio.
She said each piece will take an average of 10 days to complete.
"The days pass by very, very quickly," she said.
"I have to be relaxed doing the work because you can't rush it."
With a background in horticulture and design, Mrs Southwell said she's grateful for the response her art has received.
"When you first go into something like this you really have no expectations. It can be quite nerve-wracking. You really feel like you're bearing your heart and soul for everyone to see."
