A 23-year-old man has been taken to Orange Police Station charged with breaching bail and drug possession after Operation PEDRO VII swept through Orange and Lucknow on the weekend.

A proactive operation targeting drug and traffic offences across the Central West, the sweeps were conducted at licensed premises in Orange where six people were searched, four drug detections made and two people were excluded from a licensed premises.
Police detected one special range PCA, three drug detections and conducted one livestock inspection as well.
In total, 160 random breath tests and vehicle screenings for drug indicators were conducted.
Operation PEDRO VII started at 6pm on Friday, November 8 on the Mitchell Highway at Lucknow before moving to Orange and concluding at 1am on Saturday morning.
The operation is part of an ongoing strategy by officers attached to Central West Police District to target drug activity, traffic offences and licensed premises in the Lucknow and Orange areas.
