IGA is partnering with Vinnies and Drought Angels, with items in-store and $2 drought relief pins raising money for communities in need from November 11 through to the end of December.
Ashcroft's IGA Orange owner Rochelle Ashcroft said the drought is "more dire today than it was 12 months ago".
"We have witnessed first-hand how farmers around the Orange area are doing it really tough," Mrs Ashcroft said.
"Our customers have rallied with us in the past to support them in many ways, from cash donations, delivering hay, donating food, toiletries and other necessities to help ease the burden.
She said her store was looking at supporting nearby towns who have run out of water.
"The kids can't shower or wash their clothes at home as there is no water, so they are coming to school to do these basic things that we take for granted," Mrs Ashcroft said.
"We need to back our farming families and support the people who provide all the great fresh produce in our stores."
IGA Drought Appeal gift tokens will be available in IGA stores around the country from 11th November to 29th December 2019. Funds raised from products displaying a Community Chest ticket from 4th December to 24th December.
