CYMS continued their winning start to this summer's Royal Hotel Cup by picking up a second consecutive victory in a rain-affected clash with Centrals at Wade Park on Friday night, all but ending the red and blacks' campaign too.

The clash begun with ominous, black clouds careering towards Wade Park and the expected came not long into Centrals' dig, although just three overs were lost from the seemingly inevitable downpour, which initially looked as though it might force the game to be abandoned.
Centrals went on to make 3-139 from their 20 overs but with three overs in total being lost for the game and CYMS only having 17 available to them in the chase, the green and golds' revised target became 107 under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.
CYMS needed less than 13 overs to pass that target, pick up a second victory to go along with their round one win over reigning champions St Pat's Old Boys and rocket to the top of the competition standings.
The returning Sam Dwyer was key for CYMS, showing the kind of form that took him all the way to the Carl Sharpe Medal in the green and golds' 2014-15 premiership win.
Dwyer belted 35 from just 15 balls to kick-start CYMS' chase in swashbuckling fashion and combined with Adam Smith, who smashed 19 from 11, they added 63 for the first wicket in just four overs.
Dwyer was the first to go and Smith and Tom Belmonte were quick to follow, the latter for a golden duck, as CYMS did stumble and fall to 3-64, but at that point they needed barely more than three an over to win and they got there easily.
Angus Le Lievre (15 not out), Hugh Le Lievre (nine), Tom West (nine) and Ant Spruce (six not out) chipped away and saw their side home with five wickets and almost five overs to spare.
Daryl Kennewell (3-30) was the only Centrals bowler to make any real impact, which came after the side's top-order fired again, after posting almost 160 in a losing cause against Cavaliers the Sunday prior.
Nick Dunlop (37) and Zach Bayliss (31) put on 70 for the first wicket before Jake Pauletto (33 not out), George Olsen (18) and Fletcher Rose (10) all made handy contributions too.
CYMS will now turn their attention to finishing the preliminary stage unbeaten, while Centrals will have to win their two remaining games against Centennials Bulls and Orange City by plenty, even then they'll be relying on other results to have a sniff at the finals.
The Royal Hotel Cup, Orange District Cricket Association's marquee Twenty20 tournament, continues on Friday when Kinross meet St Pat's Old Boys.
