A man will appear in Orange Local Court on Friday, and another remains in custody, following investigations into the armed robbery of an elderly taxi driver in Orange.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, October 30, a 74-year-old taxi driver picked up three men from outside a store on Bathurst Road.
As the vehicle neared South Terrace, it is alleged the 19-year-old male passenger threatened the driver with a screwdriver and demanded money.
Police were told the second male, aged 18, allegedly placed the driver in a headlock while the 16-year-old allegedly stole other items from within the taxi, before all three fled into South Terrace.
Officers attached to Central West Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, the 18-year-old man was arrested and charged on Tuesday and remains before the courts.
Following further inquiries, police found the 19-year-old man at a Currong Crescent address house on Thursday.
He was arrested after a short foot pursuit and taken to Orange Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, using an offensive weapon and being in possess of a prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail and is to appear before Orange Local Court on Friday.
Investigations continue.
