Two weeks ago, the council allocated more then $11,000 in event funding.
According to a late report to Thursday night's council meeting, McCormack Barber made a submission for funding after applications closed.
The report recommended a donation of $10,000, however, councillor Jason Hamling asked for an increase to $20,000, provided the council was acknowledged for the contribution.

"We don't have the Chritsmas party anymore and I don't want to see it lost," he said.
Councillor Joanne McRae concurred, saying even though it would deplete the April to June event pool, it was a cooler time of year.
Councillors also considered Housing Plus' affordable housing development on Emerald Street, deciding to make a submission to the Western Joint Regional Planning Panel.
A wider triathlon path at Gosling Creek also passed, in addition to a heliport in Spring Hill, despite concerns from neighbours.
The demolition of the Anzac Park BMX track was passed, as well as motions from councillors on reviewing business rates and traffic arrangements outside the recently-approved childcare centre in Turner Crescent.
