Millthorpe became a gardeners' paradise on the weekend when people travelled from as far as Sydney, Young and across the Central West to take part in the annual garden ramble.

People of all ages took part in the two day event and they had a chance to wander through 10 gardens both in the village and on rural properties.
It was the 16th year of the Millthorpe Garden Ramble and there were seven new gardens and three that had been part of the ramble in previous years.
Gardeners were inundated with visitors during the Millthorpe Garden Ramble on Saturday although visitors were down to a trickle by Sunday afternoon when light rain set in.
Roscommon, garden four, owner Diane Dixon said coach loads of visitors explored her large garden on Forest Reefs Road on Saturday and people continued to arrive throughout the day on Sunday, particularly in the morning.
The story was similar at garden one, Rosebank, the former Bank of NSW, which has been converted into an art gallery and bed and breakfast.
Rosebank garden adviser Stuart Russ said the garden, which has between 60 and 70 rose,s in addition to other plants took part in the ramble for the third time in six years.
"[Saturday] was absolutely mammoth," Mr Russ said of the visitation.
"They were just thick all day... today's been more measured."
Mr Russ said the building was sold by the bank in the 1980s and one of the early owners loved roses so named the building Rosebank and planted the roses.
"A lot of them have been replaced by us and we've moved some of them," he said.
"I like some of the traditional roses so some of my plantings have been some of the older style."
Mr Russ said the roses benefited from the warm dry weather brought about by the drought, however, he said not all the plants in the garden enjoyed the conditions.
Garden three owner Peter Whiley said Millthorpe was on level three water restrictions which limited when he and wife Joan could water the garden.
However, they also had tank water in addition to town water.
"We can still put a bit water around but we haven't been doing it too much. We haven't been watering the lawn at all," Mr Whiley said.
Mr Whiley said their property on Victoria Street was entered in the garden ramble about seven years ago. However, he said they don't participate every year and different gardens from across Millthorpe are featured each year.
