From the wartime spirit of Novello, the hilarity of the Comedian Harmonists via the tumult of Kurt Weill and Hans Eisler's Berlin, the Golden Age of Lehr and Stolz's Vienna, the passion of Piaf and Brel's Paris, to the witty irreverence of today, Cooper Singt Kabarett is a cerebration of decadence and dark humour.
Joining Cooper next Friday as piano accompanist will be Conservatorium Director Donna Riles, in a triumphant return to the cabaret style.
Cooper Singt Kabarett has been performed in London, Sydney and Melbourne before making its way to the Hill Street stage.
Canapes and wine will be available from 6pm. The price is $30 for adults, $25 concession, $10 children under 18 and ORC children are free.
