North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club's rugby team, the Sea Lice, decided to celebrate the end of the season with a weekend away.
Club secretary Frank Schreuder was one of 25 club members to make the trip.
"Rather than go to the Gold Coast, we thought we would come out bush and we thought it would be remiss of us if we didn't do some drought relief," he said.
The club put together $1200 and when it approached Ferney's Stock Feed, the business threw in some extra supplies.
All in all, the club was able to secure 40 bags of cattle nuts, 18 mineral blocks and six bags of dog biscuits, plus a few trays of tinned dog food.
Approaching Orange City Rugby Club, the two clubs organised a bus trip to take the feed to farmers in Molong, Geurie, Yeoval, Cumnock and Dubbo.
The teams also organised to visit the towns' pubs.
"We wanted to go to the small towns and put some money through," he said.
Orange City club captain Will Ryan said the club was humbled to be approached.
"It's humbling people in the cities think about the farmers and the farmers really appreciate it," he said.
Mr Schreuder hoped the weekend could be the start of a sister club relationship.
