Directly employing 35 local people on their many and varied projects within the western region and throughout NSW, DPC was proudly con contracted to construct stage 1 in January 2019, with a strong focus on using a local builder who, in turn, would engage local sub-contractors and suppliers for the construction works.
Stage 1 included demolition of the existing entrance and construction of new suspended concrete slabs and a curved front retaining wall which forms the new gaming areas including a fully landscaped internal garden and reception area.
The new front entrance now opens out into a large expansive area with 6-meter high plasterboard and feature timber ceilings with the newly installed escalators and glass lift providing patrons accessible access to all three levels of the club.

The external facade of the club has also been modernised with new external signage and a Porte Cochere front entry structure to enable all weather access to the front of the club along with extra car parking.
DPC released a statement thanking all those who made the construction and opening in October adding the opening "would not be possible if it weren't for the hard work and dedication from our employers, local subcontractors and suppliers that assisted David Payne Constructions throughout all stages of the project".
David Payne Constructions also commended Club Dubbo's support in engaging DPC to deliver their new, state of the art extension.
