The winners included Orange-based wineries and others from the Hunter Valley and Mudgee which have produced wine from Orange-grown grapes.
Printhie Wines' Swift Rose won the trophy for the best sparkling wine while Philip Shaw Wines won the trophy for the best pinot noir in the awards.
Other Orange wine winners included Tamburlaine Organic Wines in the best riesling, best organic and the Best Other Red Varieties categories and Tulloch Wines' Vermentino in the Best Other White Varieties class.
The NSW Wine 1828 Innovation Trophy was won by Gilbert Wines' 2019 Pet Nat riesling.
It was the second year in a row Printhie has won the top award for sparkling wine in NSW.
Printhie marketing manager Emily Swift said a bottle of the winning Swift Rose cost $40.
"It is very well priced for the awards it is winning," she said.
"It's putting Orange on the map for being able to produce world-class sparkling."
Printhie Wines owner Ed Swift said the range was made up to 10 years ago.
"We've had them sitting in our cellar, maturing in bottle, until they were at their best and ready for release.
"We've always believed that our region has significant potential for producing world-class sparkling wine."
The results were announced at an award presentation at the International Convention Centre in Sydney last Friday.
Chair of the judges Dave Brookes said NSW wine was enjoying a "purple patch of great vintages" that would be the envy of other the states.
"Orange continued to impress with fine sparkling, riesling and pinot noir wines," he said.
The trophy for the best wine in the show was won by the Hunter Valley's Mount Pleasant Wines 2018 Mountain D shiraz.
It also won the best red in the show while the best white was First Creek Wines' 2018 Winemaker's Reserve chardonnay, also from the Hunter Valley.
The awards brought together the 72 gold medal award winners from the initial judging of the show.
Orange wines were awarded 14 gold medals at the show.
The judges tasted about 900 wines.
