Officers attached to Central West Police District investigated a spike in residential break and enters in Glenroi and other parts of Orange since August.
Jewellery, electronics and cash had been stolen from several locations, including from an elderly man who police alleged was confronted by the accused inside his Warrendine Street home September 22.
The 39-year-old man was arrested at a house in Glenroi just before 10.30am on Tuesday.
He was taken to Orange Police Station and charged with seven counts of break, enter and steal, three counts of aggravated break and enter, break and enter with intent, robbery, demanding property with menace with intent to steal and in-dwelling stealing and breaking out.
He was bail refused on Tuesday before a second appearance on Wednesday.
