Long distance runner Carissa Hickey, who ran to and from Gosling Creek, made it to the start line just in time to receive her award for 75 club runs, before tackling the longest distance of 11.3km.

Forty-eight starters took on the various distances with the first three finishers over each distance:

Overall handicap winner was Brian Penrose who did the 2.3km distance in a time of 15:51.

On Wednesday at Elephant Park 78 runners members enjoyed running and walking their laps around the track, with Ricky Bangert setting the pace with a time of 10:47. He was followed by Joel Broadfoot 11:03 and James West 11:45 rounding out the top three males.

Liz Simpson powered around the course in 11:08 to be overall third fastest and first female ahead of Carissa Hickey 11:43 and Kelly Gleeson 13:36.

Carl Smith continued his impressive form to run another personal best of one minute and 42 seconds, while Clifford Smith (seven seconds) and Trevor Jones (17 seconds) also picked up nice PBs.

More runners were rewarded with milestone medals with Melissa Smith 25 runs, Annabelle Hosie 75 runs, Alicia Anlezark 100 runs, Kim Anlezark 100 runs and Liz Simpson 300 runs.

Overall handicap winner was Kate Elligett, who ran a consistent 17:39 over the three laps.

The Sunday Club run is at Spring Creek Dam, starting at 9am.

Time is running out to nominate someone for Runner Of The Year and Junior Runner Of The Year, so please get your nominations in.

Good luck to those runners heading to Forbes on Sunday to compete in the Forbes Running Festival with events from 5km to the Half Marathon.

Entries are open for the Orange Running Festival, to be held on the weekend of March 7-8, 2020.
