Dr Andrew Rawson, the Associate Professor at the School of Agriculture and Wine sciences, will be the main speaker at the event on Wednesday.
Dr Rawson, who has a background in climatology and soil carbon, will be joined by members of the Department of Primary Industries research team.
The team, which will include Dr Jason Crean, the DPIs Director of Climate Research and Development, will form a panel to address audience questions.
Futuring Orange founder Kate Hook said "facts, not opinions", as well as the chance to ask questions, made the event a valuable opportunity for attendees to increase their knowledge about climate change.
Ms Hook said the intention of the event was to provide some clarity on the complex issue which is becoming increasingly crucial to understand, especially in leadership roles.
The series is titled Climate Behind the Headlines, it kicks off at 5.30pm on Wednesday.
